Story

This project will make American university studies accessible to talented students with limited financial means from Kosovo. Your gifts in this project will help provide immediate scholarships to freshmen students joining RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) in fall of 2021. As one of the most active civil promoter of American values and ideals in Kosovo; many ventures, businesses and civil society initiatives came to existence on our campus' classrooms and hallways. Impact

We believe that investment in the human capital in the region is of vital importance to build a prosperous society and break the cycle of poverty. We are proud to witness how our institution has positively impacted Kosovar and regional society throughout the years. Our success stories are best represented by our 1560 Alumni achievement: 95% employed, six serving in parliament, two government ministers, 160+ new businesses that employ 4000+ others, are among few success stories.

Challenge

Kosovo remains one of the poorest areas of Europe, with as much as 45% of the population living below the official poverty line, and 17% being extremely poor according to the World Bank. Supporting Kosovo's only private, not-for-profit American higher education provider, we have a unique set of challenges - tuition affordability high among them. Top students from several of Kosovo's leading schools that seek admission at RIT Kosovo (A.U.K) cannot attend without substantial financial aid.
