Deforestation, soil desertification, and the excessive use of agrochemicals are some of the main negative impacts on pollinators, affecting their decline and mortality of these species that contribute to the natural cycle of pollination.The pollinator garden at Miguel Aleman Restoration Site, will provide a balanced habitat, and resources for pollinators. This will also significantly benefit food production in the Mexicali Valley.

The Colorado River rises in the Rocky Mountains in the United States and reaches the Gulf of California in Mexico. One hundred twenty years ago, the river flowed through 600 000 acres of the riparian corridor. Today, it has been reduced to 3% of what it was. We promote its restoration to recover the natural and ecological conditions like clean air, water, refuge, and food provision for wildlife and, of course, for the communities around the river.

Mexico ranks 4th place of 125 nations with mangroves, representing 5.1% of the world total. We need to create 50 guardians to protect 1,700 ha of mangrove forests from which families depend on. This ecosystem provides shelter to grey whales, turtles and more than 122 migratory bird species, including the southernst bald eagle population of the hemisphere. This project will motivate the community to value the natural environment, reaffirm their identity, and conserve this precious ecosystem.
